Malori missed the chance of a seasonal hat trick in the individual time trial in Ljubljana, 8,8 km of length. The first stage of Tour de Slovenia, in fact, was won by Tuft, while LAMPRE-MERIDA's Italian cyclist (victories in Coppi e Bartali and Bayern Rundfahrt time trials) completed the course in 16" more than Canadian timing.
