VUELTA’16 St.6: Stage Success For Simon!

Race Report: Another unpredictable day in Galicia for stage 6 of the Vuelta a España. Another solo winner, but not from the original break of the day; young Simon Yates attacked in the final 4 kilometers as the last of the break evaporated and solo'd his way to the line for the victory with 22 seconds in hand.

VUELTA’16 St.5: Meersman Survives The Mayhem!

Race Report: Another day at the Vuelta, more wild racing, beautiful scenery, joy and despair. Gianni Meersman (Etixx - Quick-Step) built on Sunday’s stage two win, with another sprint victory. For the favorites, the predictable mayhem at the end of the day left a lot of riders nervous with twisting roads and tight corners to deal with.

Race Report: Gianni Meersman emerged from a pack of non-sprinters to grab a first Grand Tour stage win on a slow opening day of the 2016 Vuelta a España. The leaders red jersey stayed with Team Sky, but is now on the shoulders of ex-World champion Michal Kwiatkowski.

Vuelta a España 2016 Start List

The 2016 Vuelta a España kicks off on Saturday with a 29.4km Team Time Trial. The Vuelta's 22 teams will depart from the Laias Health Resort and will arrive at the Castrelo de Miño Nautical Park, in the province of Ourense, after almost 30 flat kilometres.
