Roadside St. 15: Carlos Barredo's grand mother wells up, 'my God, my God' she keeps repeating as Carlos's amigo hugs her - the man himself hurtled past just seconds ago to join the immortals as a winner on the Lagos de Covadonga...Ed and Martin were there to catch every bit of the classic stage in Asturias.

Roadside PEZ: After catching the stage start in Burgos yesterday, Ed and Martin hopped in their rental and headed straight for the mythical Asturian ascent of the Lagos de Covadonga. The mammoth climb played host to today's great battle between the overall hopes and a local Asturian boy who came good on the climb that started his career - Carlos Barredo.

Roadside PEZ: Katusha's Vladimir Gusev points to the handlebar extension on his Ridley; "up one millimetre!" he tells the mechanic, the spanner man says nothing as he pulls the allen keys out of his pocket - but you can tell what he's thinking. Another day, another Euro for the riders and staff on the 2010 Vuelta.

Roadside Pez St. 9: Sun, sand, mountains and a bike race, it can’t get much better than this! Well it could I guess, if it had been possible to see all of the seven classified climbs and the finish then that would have been tops! Good news for next year; La Vuelta 2011 will start in Benidorm; I could walk there, if I wanted too!

Roadside Pez St.1B: A late finish for everyone on Saturday’s team time trial made getting up early on Sunday a bit tricky for some; although the start wasn’t till after 1pm about 30 riders couldn’t make the sign on, but then there was an added reason for that, thanks to the UCI.
