Olympic gold and bronze medal-winning triathletes Alistair and Jonathan Brownlee are encouraging the nation to get active this summer, as the Tour de France visits their native Yorkshire.

The Olympic silver medal-winning cyclist, Lizzie Armitstead, has spoken of her pride for her home county’s cycling pedigree as she becomes an ambassador for the Dare 2b Yorkshire Festival of Cycling.

A new cycling festival to be held during next year’s Tour de France has been launched today. Yorkshire’s Festival of Cycling will be held from 4th-6th July 2014 at Harewood House near Leeds.
