Eurobike PEZ: Cipollini MCM Allroad First Look
The Cipollini MCM Allroad gravel bike is the flashy Italian brand’s all new effort for the all road market. Built on the made-to-measure tube-to-tube platform of the MCM road frame, it features kevlar wrapped tubes, and thinner seat stays for better comfort of rough terrain. Available as a frame set (3500Euro) or full bike for around 6500 Euro, it will be available in North America in September.

I talked with former pro and current Cipollini bikes’ press manager Diego Caccia (he who once guided us around the best parts of the Strade Bianche) about the newest model in the Cipollini bikes’ line – on luxurious display at the Vadolibero bike storage booth. “MCM” stands for “made-to-measure”, as part of their custom build program. The frames are tube-to-tube construction allowing precise and affordable custom tube lengths and geometry. The difference with the Allroad is how they’ve used kevlar threads and wraps in the tubes themselves to build in better shock absorption for off-road and rougher riding.
