TURBOANT X7 PRO E-Scooter – $499.98 On Black Friday Sale
PEZ SEz: Staying sane in these crazy times may call for crazy measures – like finding your two-wheeled fun in places you might not have looked before. Now after a few weeks of testing, I’ve discovered that scootering is indeed as fun as it looks – thanks to the TurboAnt X7 Pro scooter.
I’ve battled both my young daughters for dibs, and we’ve even said (…out loud…) that we should get a second one so we can scoot together.
With a claimed range of 30km, and a top speed of 20mph (I’ve had mine up to 28kph), this is a great way to get around town, your neighborhood, or even as a backup on that family road trip.
Controls are all electronic – except for the handlebar mounted cable disc brake. Speed is controlled with a moto-style thumb throttle that even has cruise control.
It folds up for easy storage and transport into your office or home, and overall build quality and operation has been solid and reliable.
I’ll have a more detailed review coming soon – but suffice to say that my impressions have been good. And don’t worry – we’re not turning into “PezScooterNews” – but who wouldn’t want to find one of these under the tree come Christmas morning?

Keep Riding with the New fizik Saddle Bag
fizik introduce sleek, under-the-saddle storage solution
Every experienced cyclist knows that preparation is the key to a successful ride. This means being ready for whatever the road or trail has to offer. Bringing along the essentials is key so the all-new fizik Saddle Bag is designed with the everyday ride in mind.
Extra Storage for Every Saddle
fizik’s latest Saddle Bag is designed to add convenient, waterproof storage to any saddle. Strapped simply to the saddle rails, the bag is made from a combination of durable, PU-coated polyester fabric and a waterproof zipper to block bad weather, while allowing for easy access.
Beneath its minimalist appearance, the Saddle Bag has space for a spare inner tube, co2 cartridge and inflator, tire levers and a multitool— with room for cash and an emergency gel. This small saddle pack also features an internal mesh pocket to keep its contents tightly packed and rattle-free.
Holds everything you need
As tested by PEZ, Alastair Hamilton says:
I’ve not had much time to use the fizik saddle bag as it new on the market this week, but it has the capacity to hold everything I need, without being obtrusive. The bag looks small from the outside, but it’s like the Tardis (Dr. Who reference) on the inside. The separate internal pouch is great for a credit/ID card or money. Not that I ever go out in bad weather, but if you do this bag won’t let you down, even the zip area seems watertight. Solid and well made.
No water getting in here
Saddle Bag: $24,99, £21.99, €25.
● The new fizik Saddle Bag is available for both road and off-road riders and is available online at fizik.com or through fizik dealers worldwide.

Giro Helios Spherical™ Helmet
Giro, the leader in innovative head protection for cyclists, will debut the new Helios Spherical™ helmet, designed for road and gravel riders seeking advanced brain protection with exceptional fit comfort in a compact, light and airy design. The Helios Spherical™ features Giro’s revolutionary approach to integrated rotational impact energy management, Spherical Technology, which utilizes a unique ball-and-socket design powered by the market-leading MIPS® Brain Protection System. The Helios Spherical retail price is $250/ €249.95/ £229/ AU $399 and it will be available from authorized Giro retailers and www.giro.com starting November 17th.
“Over the last few years helmets have evolved, and riders have increasingly chosen helmets with additional brain protection technologies,” said Giro Brand Manager Eric Richter. “With that choice, riders sometimes make a tradeoff, gaining an added measure of protection but compromising on the fit, comfort, light weight or cooling power they’re accustomed to. That’s why Spherical Technology is so special – it allows us to create helmets with leading brain protection technology, and without those compromises.”
The ball-and-socket design of Spherical Technology™ is powered by the MIPS® Brain Protection System, but eliminates the conventional plastic slip plane from the interior surface of the helmet, along with compromises to comfort and ventilation. By integrating the MIPS slip plane and elastomeric anchors between the two Nanobead EPS foam liners, the interior of the helmet can be aggressively channeled to enhance airflow and cooling power, and is free of excess plastic or snag points that can compromise ventilation and sweat management, create pressure or snag points that pull hair. And because Spherical Technology uses two separate foam liners, the density of each layer can be optimized with Progressive Layering to address the varying characteristics of high- and low-speed impacts. The system was developed in the DOME laboratory in Giro’s Scotts Valley headquarters in partnership with MIPS®, and in addition to being available in helmets meeting relevant CPSC, CE and AUS/NZ test standards, helmets equipped with Spherical Technology earn 5-star ratings from Virginia Tech as well.
In addition to advanced brain protection, the Helios Spherical delivers many of Giro’s top features in a very compact yet airy design. Cooling power comes from 15 vents coupled with Wind Tunnel™ internal channeling to maximize airflow through the helmet, and the plush Ionic+™ antimicrobial interior padding helps manage sweat while fighting odor-causing bacteria. The helmet’s exterior shell is made with the InMold process that permanently fuses the polycarbonate with the nanobead EPS foam liners, and it wraps to the interior edges of the helmet to increase durability. Fit and stability are enhanced by the acclaimed Roc Loc® 5 Air fit system, which allows independent adjustment of fit tension and height to optimize comfort and positioning in seconds.
