American Classic have been a staple around Pez for the last couple of years. Easy pleasy to us, as they make things simple. Simply stiff, simply light, simple maintenance… And they toss in a new color: none.

While I don’t have to worry about polar bears knocking over my trash can, and cold here in Arizona doesn’t generally involve snow and ice sticking around (yes, it does snow here every few years) it can still be in the 30’s in the morning, and tooling along at speed makes for shakes. Giordana comes to the rescue though with absolute top of the line kit for cold.

The traditionalists at Colnago have had the design for a while, but being traditionalists, they waited to see if the world’s appetite for sloping top-tubed, raw carbon goodies was going to last. Then the Cambiago Kid decided that rather than chase the less is more, weight weenie crowd, he would use the shape in a way better suited to the other 98% of riders with meat on their bones. Lazer sent us their new Cannibal way back in late summer, and while we don’t like holding on to test bits too long before posting something, there was no damn way I was putting this thing on in Phoenix Arizona in August. But it’s a sweet solution for winter riding now…

I heard “package from Reynolds” shouted down the hall and pretty much jumped over the desk thinking “Cirro KOM!!!” What came were Reynolds’ new bottle cages and while not exactly the same level of excitement is created with these, they are pretty damn slick.

Sure it’s nice rolling down the road on a bike that costs more than lots of new motorcycles. And why should it? It’s got better paint, more carbon fiber and titanium and probably took longer to make than most Moto’s… But there’s always room for more!
