Enjoy Garda Hotel

PEZ Sez: We discovered this gem earlier this year while celebrating the PEZ 10 Year Anniversary (read about it here) – and seriously, I’m going back as soon as I can. The Enjoy Garda Hotel is a brand new bike hotel located in Peschiera del Garda, on the south east corner of Italy’s Lake Garda.
• First – the riding around the lake is spectacular – lakeside vistas, hills, mountains, vineyards, 25km to Verona – the setting is ideal.
• Second- beyond riding the area is loaded with things to see and do so there’s plenty to keep any non-cycling spouses entertained while you get your cycling ya-ya’s out and build up an an appetite for…
• Third: the fantastic food prepared by the hotel’s excellent chef and staff – full breakfasts, lunches, the post-ride pasta buffet, and dinner dining that you thought was reserved only for the rich and famous.
• Fourth – the hotel was fully renovated in 2012, so rooms are new, modern, the wi-fi is fast, and walk to the characteristic old town is only 5-10 minutes, where mixing with the locals and taking a pre-dinner negroni at one of the many lively bars will be habit-forming.
• Fifth – add in guided rides, wine tastings, shopping excursions to Verona (score some big points with the Mrs.), secured bike storage and workshop, and less than 90 minute access from Milan airports (less if you fly into Verona).
• And finally, the family-run care of the Verdolin family – you will not want to leave.

Make this your cycling travel destination next year and tell ‘em Pez sent ya.
